Step 1
Application and resume upload
Apply with Google
To start your application, you must sign in with existing Google or Handshake credentials. Note onboarding must be completed on a computer (not mobile), and we recommend the Chrome browser.
Resume upload and profile setup
After signing in, you must upload your resume. Please have your most current resume, LinkedIn profile, and phone number ready. We will automatically populate your profile with information from your resume and then give you the chance to review and update.

Opt in to Labelbox Alignerr Connect
After reviewing your profile details, you have the option to opt in (or out) of Alignerr Connect, which provides you additional job opportunities to work directly with leading AI labs.

Identity verification
Confirm your identity and personal information
To ensure the security and integrity of the Alignerr community, we require all applicants to verify their identity. The first step is to verify your phone number through a text message.
Complete identity verification with Persona
We partner with Persona to complete a safe and trusted ID verification. You can use a previously saved ID or will be prompted to capture a photo of your official identification document to complete the step.

Meet Zara
Zara is our AI-powered interviewer who captures your unique skills and expertise in just 15 minutes. Pick a time that works for you to have a customized chat in your preferred language.

Use the interview to delve deeper into your skills and passions. It's more than just a resume review; it's a chance to showcase your unique experiences to help us match you with projects where you can best contribute meaningful insights.

Additional assessments
Demonstrate domain-specific expertise
To ensure we can accurately match you with suitable projects, we offer additional assessments for some Alignerrs based on their skills. These assessments verify your fluency in a given language or knowledge in specific areas.
Complete different language interviews
Many Alignerrs are fluent in many languages. Multilingual projects are very common, so additional assessments are used to measure fluency in a variety of languages.

Contract and billing setup
Welcome to the Alignerr community!
Congratulations! If you’ve reached this step, your application has been approved. You will receive an email invitation to officially join the Alignerr community and complete your contract and billing setup. Stripe Connect and PayPal are our trusted payment partners.
Complete your contract signup
You will be asked to complete your contract signup in the Alignerr app. In addition, you will need to configure your payment details with either Stripe Connect or PayPal depending on your location. You may need to provide information you’ve already shared—we apologize for any redundancy.

Alignerr onboarding
Complete your training
You’ll receive an email invitation to access our training platform, the Alignerr Onboarding Academy. It consists of four short courses that will familiarize you with key tools and processes, including an intro to the Labelbox Platform.
Explore Discourse
As part of your onboarding, you'll also be introduced to Discourse, our dedicated platform for knowledge sharing, project notifications, and community building. Discourse offers organized and searchable conversations, making it easy to find past discussions, project updates, and important information.
